Nig Nog culture

Nig Nog Culture

Heh, the nig nog.

This is a topic I’ve been through quite a few times on twitter as it gives me plenty of ammo to analyze and critique the nig nog in its natural habitat. Now don’t get me wrong, nig nog isn’t a strictly black thing, it’s just that 99.9% of the nig nog population I’ve seen has been so. I grew up in and surrounded by the culture, so a lot of this I can either relate to or attest to, and that’s why I feel like I’m qualified to do this post.

Some people may hear the term “nig nog” and immediately get offended and claim I’m a racist or a coon. That’s fine, a lot of you wont even take the time to read the rest of the article and prove your nig-nog by throwing on the victim goggles and seeing the words and not the message behind them. I’m not stereotyping all black people or anything of the sort, this article is specifically talking about the people who fit the description. Direct all your anger and hate to @lordaedonis though, I’ll be fine.

Let’s move on.

The common nig nog today is between the ages of 16-24, typically can be found on twitter retweeting memes and tweeting rap lyrics, and generally going with the flow with no direction.

Nig nogs tend to be heavily involved with some type of substance – be it weed, lean (promethezine-codeine for those who don’t know), xanax, percocets…. the list goes on.

Nig nogs tend to be very materialistic and value instant gratification over long-term value. That’s why you’ll find a lot of them at the bus stop with a Gucci belt that isn’t even holding their pants up.

Nig Nog culture tends to be heavily shaped and altered by the two main things up the culture itself – Twitter, and Rap music.

Think about it, the typical nig nog wakes up in the morning and what are among the first 3 things they do? Check Twitter and listen to music.

When nig nogs aren’t paying attention in class, what are they most likely doing? On Twitter, listening to music.

When you see a nig nog in public not paying attention to their surroundings, what are they most likely doing? You guessed it, at least one of the two.

This isn’t just me talking, I grew up in and still haven’t completed my reformation from “hood nigga nig nog culture” so I can attest to most of this.

Fact of the matter is with the way technology has taken a grasp on our lives today, you’ll often find a nig nog binded to to at least one facet of the culture at every hour of the day. If it’s not twitter and music, it’s TV. If they aren’t the technological type you’ll usually find them in the streets fighting, selling drugs or shooting.

Nig Nog culture is introduced to kids at a young age, and they usually fall deep in the rabbit hole and never find a way out.

Think about it, who first perpetuated the “fuck bitches, get money, don’t take women serious” mindset that many of these young nig nogs have nowadays?

Rap Music. With its role ingraining “Money, Cash, Hoes” into your brain, it’s partly to blame for why many of this new generation doesn’t know how to successfully have relationships. When all you hear all day is selling drugs, robbing people for fast cash and treating women like sex toys you become jealous and envious of the lifestyle and start to emulate it.

When all you see on Twitter is women with exaggerated bodily assets, you start to look for a needle in a haystack in terms of the common female body. What you see on TV and Twitter is not what you will normally see walking around. It’s easy when you’re going through disagreements in a relationship to go to social media and get validation and sympathy from the internet – giving the world a prying eye into you personal relationship will only lead to more and bigger issues down the line.

All you hear in music and see on Twitter is money, drugs and women. Nig Nogs try to put the first two together and run through as many of the latter as they can, and typically end up in one of three places – still on the corner when they’re 45, Jail, or a Pine Box.

Nig Nogs usually think selling drugs is the best way to get rich, but don’t understand the best way to approach life is a desire to build long-lasting wealth, not short-term riches. Nig Nogs usually treat women the same way their favorite rappers say they do in songs, not realizing most of them are either married or in long-term relationships. Nig Nogs tend to break the law and feel themselves to be above it until after they’re in jail, and then they find out they don’t really know the law at all.

Nig Nog culture has become increasingly prominent in the new generation that is starting to establish a voice in the media. Nig Nog culture tends to be found especially in sites like Bossip and TheRoot, which spend a lot of time focusing on celebrity gossip and racially divisive issues instead of anything helpful like financial literacy or black empowerment.

Nig Nog culture tends to be an environment where children grow up not respecting authority; be it them not having a father, having both parents and being coddled too much, or their negative attitudes towards police. As a result they grow up not respecting or paying any attention to authority until it’s too late or violence breaks out and they’re dead/behind bars, and by then their ignorance of the law has thrust them into a situation they usually don’t know how to get out of.

Nig Nog Culture is something nig nogs usually don’t realize they’ve sunken into until it’s too late, and even then it’s a bit difficult to pull yourself out of.

Imagine spending your entire childhood hearing in music that women were hoes and sex objects, to see them scantily clad on every TV program, and then going to school in urban areas where kids wear having sex like a badge of honor in middle school…. wouldn’t you psychologically think it’s acceptable to treat everyone that way?

Imagine the music you grew up listening to and the TV shows you watched as a child glorifying drug dealing and making it look cool, until you’re in a cop car and none of those lyrics mentioned your Miranda Rights. Imagine if most parts of the culture you grew up in, from movies to music to TV, glorified degeneracy?

Hood living, drugs, guns, fast cash, women without morals….. all of these were important and key parts of the urban culture that many of us grew up in, and a lot of us weren’t taught better, this is true. However, not even in the terms of the law is ignorance an excuse for committing wrongdoing, and they don’t think about this until it’s too late.

Nig Nogs love twitter pictures of stacks of $100 bills, weed and guns laying around and don’t realize how dangerous that lifestyle is, Power and The Wire make being a hustler look cool. Music videos these days make the “Hood Bonnie and Clyde” lifestyle look glamorous, but anyone attempting to do that these days would catch 7x the bullets that they did, especially being black.

Basically, we’re in a world where the culture we and our children are growing up in is promoting degeneracy at every turn, and young kids are getting locked up and shooting and fighting over it. WorldStarHipHop promotes degeneracy and is the prime-time source for fight videos and other violent/”hood’ entertainment, but serves no purpose other than killing brain cells. “WORLDSTAR!” has even become a popular thing to yell when a fight breaks out just because of the prominence of fight videos on the site itself. I used to watch these daily, and these days just thinking about it makes me feel like a degenerate for promoting and glorify it.

Nig Nog Culture and the prominence of twitter fight videos was just responsible for the death of a 15 year old girl in Delaware. These kids were fighting and people were too busy recording it t intervene, and as a result a child died, because people were too busy licking their chops thinking about all the retweets they’d get.

Nig Nogs value entertainment over information, and that’s why the things that are popular in the culture usually are entertainment based.

Nig Nogs hate new information due to cognitive dissonance – they’re stuck being Prisoners of their Own Identity and don’t even know what the charges are, and anytime you challenge them they get angry and defensive. I can attest, apparently I’m a Coon because I don’t subscribe to Black Victimhood.

At this point, I don’t mind it. I feel bad for the nig nogs and I know most of the time they can’t be helped, it’s just sad that the standards include so much degeneracy that is seen as acceptable. Anyone who read this and realized that you are a nig nog and want to change, make the effort to do so today. Browse around some of the articles on the site and see if I can add some benefit to your life, and check out Hotep and see if the mentality is for you.

All in all, the first way to beginning a reformation from being a hood nigga or a nig nog, is to take back Control of your mind and your life from external influences.
